Girls’ Soccer Blogs
Girls Soccer for High School in Iowa occurs during the spring season. The season begins in mid-March and culminates with the State Tournament in early June.
The Waukee Girls Soccer program has consistently proven to be competitive with the best programs in the state. The Warriors have qualified for the State Tournament each of the past 4 seasons. Finishing the 2011 season as the state runner-up, the Warriors continued with successful seasons in 2012, 2013, and 2014 as semi-finalists. Waukee has also won several conference and divisional titles, in addition to Central Iowa Conference titles.
Large participation numbers have helped contribute to the program’s success as more than 60 girls, in grades 9-12, compete at the Junior Varsity and Varsity levels for the Warriors. Individual and team successes have allowed several Waukee athletes an opportunity to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
Led by Head Coach Tony Gabriel and assistant Greg Velasquez, Waukee girls enjoy a competitive experience that stresses sportsmanship, professionalism, and FUN!
