Waukee Fall Scores



The Warriors defeated Marshalltown on Oct. 9.  The team is now ranked 2nd in the Conference with a record of 23-12.  Regional tournament play begins Tuesday, Oct. 23, 7:00 at home.

Girls Swimming

After winning the Johnston Invitational,  the Warriors were victorious again over SE Polk on Senior Night, Oct. 10.  The divers will compete at the Marshalltown Diving Meet on Oct. 14 and the swim team will compete next at the Conference meet on Thursday, Oct. 18.


Boys Golf

The Waukee Warrior boys golf team are the 2018 State Champions! Bennett Pedersen was the individual runner up with Griffin Parker- 4th, Jack Starr- 6th, and Michael Vicente- tie for 9th.  Weather played a part in this year’s tournament as the second day of the tournament was cancelled because of rain and poor course conditions.

The Warriors won the meet by jumping out to a commanding lead after day one.  Led by Griffin Parker’s three under par 68 and Michael Vicente’s one over par round of 72, the team score of 289 (+5) put them 7 shots ahead of the field. Bennett Pedersen shot 74 and Jack Starr’s 75 rounded out the scoring.  All four of WHS’s scoring golfers placed in the top 23 of the 84 player field.  Team members Josh Nichols and Charlie Steer played but did their scores did not figure into the team total.

Boys Cross Country

The Warriors will travel to SE Polk to compete in the Conference Meet on Thursday, Oct. 11. Good Luck Warriors!

Girls Cross Country

The team won the Ankeny Invitational on Thursday, Oct. 5.  Out of the top 15 places, the Warriors placed 7 runners.  Payton Kelderman placed 1st, Sydney Schaffer 3rd, Molly Bannister 6th,  Jessica Caraway 8th, Isabelle Schaffer 9th, Madison Judas 13th and Ellie Huisman 14th. The girls will also travel to SE Polk for the Conference Meet on Oct. 11.

After an early 5:30 pm start, the Warriors easily beat the Ottumwa Bulldogs 50-0.  They travel to Indianola, Friday, Oct. 12 for a 7:00 pm match up with the Indians.
